Work Life Balance

BALANCE is the key.

In everything you do.

But the question is how to live a balanced life ? –

Dance all night long and practice yoga the next day.

Drink wine but don’t forget your green juice.

Eat chocolate when your heart wants it and kale salad when your body needs it.

Wear high heels on Saturday and walk barefoot on Sunday.

Live high and low.

Move and stay still.

Embrace all sides of who you are.

Be brave, bold, spontaneous, and loud and let that complement your abilities to find silence, patience, modesty and peace.

Aim for BALANCE.

Make your own rules and follow your own path and don’t let anybody tell you how to live according to theirs.

How to achieve success in life ?

The success of any person in this world is ONLY possible with the cooperation of a large number of people. Yet, people usually seek support only for themselves rather than actively supporting others too. What people want is their own individual success and are afraid to spend their energy in obtaining success for someone else.

When a teacher advised her students, ‘Children, you must all learn to help others,’ she was questioned by students, ‘If we have to help others, what are others supposed to do?’

The truth is that unless we help others, we cannot even help ourselves. We do not live in isolation; therefore our success is connected with the success of others, as it is clear from the following story :

Marian Anderson, an African American singer and one of the most celebrated singers of the 20th century, often used ‘we’ and ‘one’ instead of a personal ‘I’. When asked about this strange usage she said, ‘One realises, the longer one lives, that there is no particular thing one can do alone. In the execution of the work we do, there are many people involved – those who wrote the music, those who made the piano on which the accompanist plays, the accompanist, who actually lends support to the performance. Even the voice, the breath, everything – it is not your doing. So the “I” in it is very small, after all.’

When our desires are sincere & our purpose is the fulfilment of the desire of the world, we get everything that we desire. Paulo Coelho writes in his book The Alchemist :

There is one great truth on this planet : whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it’s because that desire originated in the soul of the Universe …. The soul of the world is nourished by people’s happiness. When you want something, the entire universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.

Thus the deepest desires of man are not merely personal, but also spiritual as such desires emerge from the soul of the universe. While the fulfilment of personal desire gives us pleasure and comfort, the fulfilment of the desire of the Universe brings happiness and peace to our lives. Those who are deeply connected with their souls hear this voice and can win the kingdom of the world, for the whole world unites to fulfil their desires.

The life histories of many highly successful people in the world reveal that they listened to their souls while fulfilling their desires and met with much success. The world too then reciprocated by making them the richest or the most powerful. It is rightly said in the Bible :

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. And what father is there among you, who, if his son asks for a slice of bread, will offer him a stone? or if he asks for a fish, will instead of a fish offer him a snake?

Spirituality is, therefore, the key to worldly success as it helps us learn the deepest desires of others and the world, connects us with God and the ultimate intelligence of the Universe, and gets us the support of the entire world for the fulfilment of the desires.

How to be a good person?

All of us are born with goodness in our hearts. It is impossible to discover an evil in a child. A child cries even when a toy is broken as the child feels connected with everyone and everything.

We do not have to learn goodness as it is always present in us. We have to only rediscover it within us as we have forgotten our goodness, covered as it is by the dirt of our evil actions. We have become evil only due to the ignorance of our true selves and our desire to fulfill our passions without showing any concern towards other human beings because when we are in a competition we forget about other people and all the time we think about ourselves and get in a race to come first from them and defeat them. We all have friends and loved ones for whom we are concerned. We do everything to take care of them and fulfil their needs. They are the people who are usually more aware of our goodness as we show our good side to them in order to get their love and affection.

Therefore, if you wish to know your goodness, you must know it from your friends, your true friends would always tell you about your good qualities infact they know your positive qualities much better. It is foolish to go to your enemy, opponents or competitors to know your goodness as they may see your evils only.

You must know how your friends perceive you. Do they really trust you? Are they willing to do anything just because you have said so? Have you always been nice to them or you have treated badly at times?
